Wedding Celebrant
It is an honour to support a couple as they stand on the threshold of their future life together.
As a Mid Wales wedding Celebrant, it is my role to guide couples through the story of their love and their lives together up until this point, and lead them in the journey of creating their wedding ceremony.
There are many ways to create beautiful, memorable, and romantic wedding ceremonies. We can call on our rich tapestry of tradition in this country, at the same time as designing your ceremony from the heart and imagination.
I will guide you in bringing forward your deepest heartfelt promises and vows. We can explore different music, poetry and prose to weave through your ceremony.
Whether you choose to have your ceremony in front of an archway of flowers, by an oak tree in Spring, a marquee in a meadow or a fireplace in Winter, I will guide and support this to become a reality for you.
Together, we will imagine the structure of your ceremony and how we join all the parts so it can become a flowing and joyful experience.

Traditions
As a modern Celebrant in mid Wales it is my pleasure to be able to perform a diverse range of wedding ceremonies.
Traditional services in Churches or licensed venues tend to follow a simple and beautiful age old rhythm; the father of the bride would ‘give’ the Bride away at the alter, the couple exchange their vows and rings and the congregation shower the couple with confetti on leaving the venue.
There is power and integrity in these traditions and they can be lifted and relocated in any venue or field to suit the couple. Modern weddings now often reflect diverse cultures, with eco-conscious, minimalist, and bespoke trends shaping our ceremonies. It is my pleasure to embrace the vision you have for your wedding and support you to bring it into a reality.
Vows
As your celebrant I can guide you as a couple to find the words you wish to express to each other during your ceremony.
The Vows or Promises, are a precious moment to be witnessed by your chosen congregation as you declare your love, respect and delight in each other. There are many ways to do this, some prefer to use humour, others to recite poetry and many will sit in quiet and find their words in the privacy of their own heart. It is a tender and delicate part of the service that requires love and attention and one that is my honour to support.
Location
The wonderful thing about a celebrant led wedding, is that you can hold it anywhere.
You can choose to create the setting in your garden, or in a romantic orchard somewhere in the country, you can hire a village hall or you can be on a beach. The possibilities are wide open as long as you have permission from any land owners. As a Celebrant in Mid Wales I am endlessly inspired by the creative options we have in our incredible natural surroundings.
Certification
I am a fully qualified, certified Celebrant in Mid Wales, I can officiate wedding ceremonies, however the legal part needs to be done with your local Council Registrar. This is a short session at the council offices with a small charge and a minimum of two witnesses present.
When I felt a calling to this work I chose to seek out professional training. I found the Academy of Professional Celebrants.
They are a national organisation that deliver wonderful celebrant training programs. I loved working with them and continue my connection with them as a fabulous support network of Celebrants across the UK. Their training and support have been invaluable to me.
